The National Lotteries Authority (NLA) is continuing its investment in sports infrastructure across St. Vincent and the Grenadines, with rehabilitation works currently underway at the Cane End Playing Field. The fully NLA-funded project is being undertaken by Lauron Baptiste Construction Company and is expected to be completed within ten to twelves weeks.
Contractor Lauron Baptiste says the project involves the removal of debris from the playing field, installation of improved drainage, grading and levelling of the grounds, planting of grass, and rehabilitation work on sections of the pavilion.

Francois says he was shocked to see the condition of the facility when the NLA returned to assess the playing field and emphasizes the need for greater accountability in the use of NLA resources
