Students across St. Vincent and the Grenadines are now receiving monthly financial assistance from the National Lotteries Authority, as the organisation continues its investment in education.
The NLA’s Grant Assistance Programme provides support to students in secondary schools and the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College, including those pursuing technical and vocational education, and studies in Arts, Sciences and General Studies.
The first day of disbursement was held on September 16th, 2026, with awardees receiving 150 dollars per month.
The programme has been in place for several years, but the Authority has introduced measures aimed at reaching more vulnerable students and expanding access across the country.
Education and Cultural Manager, Nisha Hope, explains how students are assessed to determine their eligibility for the assistance.
Hope says the NLA remains committed to investing in education, sport and culture, noting the importance of supporting the people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Meanwhile, parents of the awardees have expressed gratitude to the NLA, saying the financial support will help ease the cost of their children’s education.
